GOV2EU project is launched to promote eInvoicing in the health sector
The European Commission, through the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA), the CEF Telecom Program and the Directives issued by the European Parliament, has been one of the main promoters of the implementation and standardization of electronic invoicing.
In this framework, EDICOM, with the collaboration of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, VALTIVA, among others, prepared and presented the GOV2EU project, which was granted by INEA under the 2016 CEF Telecom Call – eInvoicing (CEF-TC-2016-3).
GOV2EU aims to promote and accelerate the uptake of eInvoicing mainly in the health sector, according to the requirements of the Directive 2014/55/EU. Under this project several entities, including hospitals, hospital providers and universities from Hungary, Germany, Slovakia, Belgium, Portugal, Italy and France, will adapt their ERP systems to assimilate the European eInvoicing standard. This will be followed by the development of the interoperation and intercommunication interfaces with EDICOM B2B Platform (Cloud Platform prepare by EDICOM as a part of a previous project) to exchange eInvoices with their clients and suppliers using PEPPOL.
